Associate Catering and Events Manager

Cloud 9 Caterers is looking for an Associate Catering and Events Manager to join our team. Work for a small woman owned catering company that is one of the oldest and most well established in all of Vermont. Sarah Moran started Cloud 9 Caterers in 1988 and has since then prided herself on not only excellent food but outstanding customer service.

As the Associate Catering and Events Manager your duties will include:

  • Help selling and planning menus for events
  • Assisting in the hiring and scheduling of front of the house staff
  • Communicating clients needs to the kitchen and relevant vendors
  • Managing events from start to finish
  • Packing out front of the house equipment to ensure the success of events
  • Light administrative duties such as filing and mailing
  • Updating social media platforms and the website
  • Ordering of office supplies and front of the house items

You must have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Previous food and hospitality experience, with a passion for food and customer service
  • A dynamic, creative, and outgoing personality with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Excellent written and oral language skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs, Gmail, and general skillfulness using the computer
  • Experience using Instagram and Facebook
  • Reliable transportation and timeliness
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours on your feet
  • Problem solving skills under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience with front of house service, and proper etiquette (preferred)
  • Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure
  • Takes direction well
  • Must be physically able to stand for long hours and lift heavy objects (no more than 25 pounds)
  • Friendly and able to interact with guests

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and break down events
  • Greet Guests
  • Carry out food service and clearing of tables
