Sarah Moran

Cloud 9 Caterers owner Sarah Moran first came to the Burlington area in the 1980s, graduating from the University of Vermont in 1984 and going on to pursue graduate studies at St. Michael’s College.  After living and working in New York for a few years, the birth of her first child prompted Sarah to return to the Green Mountain State.  Seeking a way to pursue her passion for food while devoting time to her new family, in 1990 she established Coggio Caterers with a business partner.  Five years later, Sarah changed the name of the company to Cloud 9 Caterers.

Chef Luke Stone

Executive Chef Luke Stone, grew up in Middlebury, Vermont and hails from a family of restaurateurs. He is no stranger to the Vermont Food Scene, having worked in a number of top notch restaurants including Christophe’s on the Green, Smokejacks & Hen of the WoodLuke brings a vast repertoire, including an expertise in butchering & charcuterie, to the Cloud 9 Kitchen. His favorite food is anything pig-related and his favorite kitchen gadget is a meat grinder for sausages and brats. Luke currently resides in Huntington, Vermont with his wife and three young daughters.

Julia Nittler

Catering and Events Manager Julia Nittler, was born and raised in Central and South America. She first moved to Vermont in 2011, while she was still attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Later she transferred to Champlain College where she studied Marketing and Advertising. While at Champlain she interned at Burlington based advertising agency Brandthropology, and even guest lectured at Middlebury College. Before graduating in May 2015 she started interning at Cloud 9 Caterers and The Hindquarter, and later working as assistant to Jayson Munn at Jayson Munn Design. Through these experiences she has accumulated a wealth of catering and event experience that have lead to her current position here at Cloud 9 Caterers.
